'Kick-Ass 2' Casts Mother Russia
Mother Russia is portrayed in the comics as a muscle bound towering woman who is also Red Mist's bodyguard.
Red Mist of course is played by Christopher Mintz-Plasse in the movie adaptation of the comic series. So it is not exactly hard to make him look small and weedy next to even the average woman.
But in keeping with the comic appearance it has been revealed that Russian bodybuilder Olga Kurkulina has landed the part of Mother Russia, and from what we have seen so far looks like a suitable casting.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chloë Grace Moretz are reprising their roles as Kick-Ass and Hit Girl. And reportedly Nicholas Cage's Big Daddy is set to return in some capacity, hopefully as a flashback and not as a ghost.
Directed by Jeff Wadlow, with Matthew Vaughn returning in a production capacity, Kick-Ass 2 opens in the UK on 19 July 2013.
