Iron Patriot In 'Iron Man 3'?

Some suprising photos from the set of Iron Man 3 have arrived over at Thesuperficial.com showing actor James Badge Dale suited up in a costume which resembles The Iron Patriot.

James Badge Dale who has been confirmed as playing the character Coldblood so why he is donning a suit that looks like Captain America got a gift from Tony Stark is a hot topic on the net today.

For pepole who are not huge comic book fans, The Iron Patriot was Norman Osborn, normally  Spider-man's villain Green Goblin who was played by Willem Dafoe in the 2002 movie. Osborn assumes the identity of the "Iron Patriot" when he gets put in charge of both SHIELD and his own team of Avengers. The character was basically Norman Osborn in an Iron Man suit.

And since Sony own the rights to Spider-Man and asociated characters it seems a little strange that they would actually include Iron Patriot.

My guess is that it is actually a patriotic painted suit, since James Badge Dale plays a soldier in the US army before he is turned into a cyborg my hope is that it is a suit used for recruitment or some kind of propoganda purpose and just resembles the Iron Patriot.
