Charlie Sheen Joins 'Machete Kills'

Robert Rodriguez likes his actors to be as crazy as the storyline, which is probably why he has picked up Charlie Sheen to play the President of America in his sequel to his grindhouse film Machete, Machete Kills.

Sheen will be cast alongside the returning faces of Jessica Alba, Danny Trejo and Michelle Rodriguez. And the new cast comprising of  Sofia Vergara as a leather-clad madam and Amber Heard as a lethal assassin. Zoe Saldana, Demian Bichir and Edward James Olmos are also on board in as yet unspecified roles.

But the most anticipated role belongs to none other than Mel Gibson who will play a crazy druglord who plans to send a super weapon into space. With which he hopes to threaten global security, so Charlie Sheen's President naturally calls upon Machete to sort him out.

While this film is in no way a bad thing I would much prefer Rodriguez to start really getting the ball rolling on Sin City 2, it just seems to be in the background a little too much when it clearly has the right ammount of demand for it.

Machete Kills is expected to arrive in cinemas in 2013.
